My blog is a year old. I started this blog on December 2, 2007. I can’t believe that I managed to stay committed to this. This drawing is an old one that I posted back on Dec 17 when I was just getting started. It’s one of my favorites.
When I look back at my old entries it almost seems like I drew better then, but feel I’ve grown quite a bit as an artist nevertheless. I think I’ve gotten rid of my phobia about using color (it’s now just a mild anxiety) and I’ve tackled subjects that I never would have had the nerve to draw back then. I mean, I never thought I would be able to draw a pez dispenser, but I managed. I really feel that I can draw just about anything now. I don’t mean it as a brag, but I finally feel that I developed the skill. It’s not just a fluke when a picture turns out and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.
I want to thank everyone who came by and left a kind word, added me to their blogroll, presented me with an award or just stopped by to check things out. When you first start a blog you always wonder whether anyone would bother to look, but I have had so many wonderful visitors. It’s been thrilling and I appreciate it so much.
Well, I intend to keep at it. I’ll be updating my gallery page soon, maybe even putting an additional one up. Thanks again everyone.
