Hi there everyone. Last week I started trading my art cards. It’s a blast. I’ve traded almost every card I’ve made. I made a few today. Here are two I made using my new comic book style:
I’ve already traded the one on the right. Minutes after I posted it, I had someone offer a wonderful piece for it. Is that cool, or what?
I’ve also been working on a portrait swap with Ujwala over at Draw the Line. I can’t wait to share that with you all.
Thanks for coming by and checking out my work. If it weren’t for your comments I wouldn’t have started trading these cards. So I am very grateful to you all.
Until next time, take care of yourselves. For all of you in the U.S. have a great Fourth of July.
These are both wonderful! I can see why they are so popular for trading. What medium are you using – washable ink? watercolor?

Thanks Shirley. I just use a Pigma Micron 005 for the drawing and cool gray Copic markers for the wash effect. I use three shades C-1, C-3, and C-6. I wish I had the control to do this kind of work with a brush and ink. I’m practicing though.

These are wonderful. Excellent idea to swap cards. I think that is what they were originally for. I have the grand total of two so far but they were bought ones.

Cathy,
I’m glad you like the cards. I’ve already managed to trade these two cards as well. It’s so nice to find homes for these little pieces and start a mini art collection of my own.
Dob,
Thanks for the compliment.

I love your cartoon style. Do you make actual cartoons? Stories with your work? I’ll bet it would be amazing.

I’ve thought about making some short stories. It’s on the long list of things I’d like to try. I hope to some day.
