It’s been a while since I’ve done an Everyday Matters Challenge. To be honest, I didn’t do these specifically for the challenge. I was drawing cat cards for various swaps I had signed up for. So imagine my surprise when I went to check what the next EDM challenge would be. When I saw “draw a cat” on the list I just started laughing out loud. I had cats on the brain and I just couldn’t get away from them!
These are a combination of sketching some neighbor cats from life and some other sketches I had in my sketchbook

Great to look at your cat drawings. The eyes are just wonderful. It’s interesting to see how different your cats are from my cats. I draw my cat in bed at night when he’s sitting at the foot of the bed. I didn’t know it was an EDM challenge – can’t keep up with all the posts – I’ll have to scan some of my drawings & post them.

Love the kitties. Both cute with great expressions but very different. I have to make myself draw more freely sometimes as I tend to draw “tight” and fairly neat.

Wendy, I have trouble keeping up with the post too. Even with the digest I often only read one quarter of the posts.
cathy: It’s always a struggle to balance tight and loose. I’ve read that on a lot of artists blogs.
