Here’s one of a small stack of artist trading cards I’ve been making lately. This is from a photo by T. Bruce at Eyes. Mind. Heart. I’ve been making some cards by request which is a nice stretch for me. Barn owls and mini-portraits mainly. I’m also working on another portrait swap, but procrastination keeps setting in. I had finished a piece, but then realized that I hadn’t really captured the personality of my subject. So I must to start again. *sigh*
It’s great to be busy. With each project I grow a little more as an artist.
Love this Mellanie. You have captured the bird so well and that blue is out of this world.

Thanks Cathy. I found that Winsor & Newton Blue drawing ink was just the right foundation for coloring a peacock. Then I just went over it in colored pencils. Glad you like him.
