My last entry for Every Day in May is a drawing I did of Michael relaxing in the sun wearing his favorite sunglasses. He is wonderful about sitting for me.
Since doing this Every Day in May exercise I feel more inspired to go back to my everyday sketchbook drawing. I got so caught up in my card trading hobby that my regular drawing practice really suffered.
But I can’t give up artist trading cards. At last count I have 206 cards. It’s so addictive, I can’t imagine not trading.
Goodness, that is a real committment – a drawing a day. I don’t think I could come up with the dedication but yours are great. I love off the cuff sketches. My work is generally too considered. I need to practice spontaneity.

My applause for staying on track. You are a good sketch artist. Such has been a mainstay of mine in the arts. Who knows where it will take us, but its a great way of recording the trip. Good will for tackling June.

Thanks Cathy and Ralph. I’m pleased that I was able to do almost all 31 days. I’m going back to keeping a daily sketch journal again!
